The Brand
mr. zoo is a pet store that, besides selling pets and pet supplies, provides veterinarian and hairdresser services. The store is situated in the center of Petah Tikva, the fifth largest city in Israel. The shop has 25 years of experience in sharing their professionalizm and love for pets. The shop has over 4,000 products that are sold both is the store and online.

Brand Voice
mr. zoo’s proposal is to bring fun and happiness to people’s life, enabling them to take better care of their pets and helping them keep their best friend's health.
mr. zoo’s speech brings with it a playful voice, emphasizing diversity and cleanliness.

Logo
The logo was created to show the shop's diversity in both form and color. The animals in the lettering correspond to the animals sold in the shop. The colors introduced to the logo, represent the diversity in the animals world along with the diversity in the shop's departments and expertise. The clever use of negative space creates a sophistication, that, along with the playfulness in colors creates a mood that is liked by both children and adults, as much as pets are.

Scope
This rebranding process was all done by me, from sketch to final design. I had to find design answers to  show the brand's uniqueness against other pet shop brands along with the diversity of services it provides. I tested different fonts, different animals, different colors and different ways to use the negative space in the lettering. I had to keep the logo viable in black as well since it was about to be used on invoices in low quality printing. Aside from the logo I had to come up with a tagline to help noting the shop's diversity. The final tagline chosen was: "A pet shop that has it all". This tagline relates to both the shop's multi-service nature and it also rings the usual meaning of the phrase, that this shop is a 10 shop.
